Aim
The GFA/FAW Football Leaders Award provides inexperienced coaches with the knowledge and confidence to organise fun and safe sessions that inspire young players to fall in love with football.
About
This is the first step on the education pathway for football coaches in Gibraltar. To complete the GFA/FAW Football Leaders Award, the aspiring coaches undertake a series of online modules before attending an 4-hour tutor-led practical day on 1 of the above dates.
Outcomes
The GFA/FAW Football Leaders Award is a mandatory qualification for all coaches involved in junior football in Gibraltar and is supported with post-course online resources.
Completion of the online modules also provides access to a number of additional awards, which sit within level 1 of our coach education pathway.
Our GFA/FAW Football Leaders Award requires all candidates to complete Online Modules prior to attending an 4 hour ‘Practical Day’.
The GFA/FAW Football Leaders Award aims to provide a basic introduction to the organisation of football practices in a fun, safe environment with an emphasis on engaging with the young players of today. Completion of the Online Modules is an essential requirement for all candidates and these must be completed in full, prior to attending the practical day of the Award.
